Kwara GmbH ("Kwara") is looking for Country Launchers to kickstart our business development in ASEAN! We want you to grow our sales, manage our accounts and lead a local team. Job Title

Country Launcher

 

Locations

You'll be based in Indonesia, Thailand or Vietnam and work remotely with management in Kenya and the local team set up later by you. 

 

Responsibilities

As the Country Launcher, you will be mainly responsible for:

  • Launching our business by piloting, demonstrating and selling our banking software to credit unions in the local market

  • Identifying the pain points of credit unions, understanding every aspect of their daily operations and external context and customizing our products to best meet their needs

  • Identifying, approaching and developing relationships with key partners in the private and public space that are necessary for Kwara to grow into a sizable company in the local market

  • Comparing and reporting on trends in the market such as the competitive landscape, regulatory environment and customer behavior; planning and proposing a feasible business growth strategy 

  • Hiring, organizing, managing and training a local team that is able to successfully market, price and run the company in a growth stage 

  • Setting up key goals such as annual recurring revenue and customer acquisition with a detailed action plan and budget planning

 

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced and driven professional with the following qualifications:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset 

  • Able to combine passion with being organized and efficient

  • Is hands-on, takes initiative and can lead projects independently 

  • Proven sales experience of at least 2 years with (enterprise) software 

  • Proven understanding and/or strong interest in financial systems and SaaS products

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

  • Excellent social skills and able to lead conversations with stakeholders from different socioeconomic, political and cultural backgrounds

  • Analytic and structured, can create informative presentations and reports for decision making

  • Can deal with, filter through and clean large amounts of financial data, such as savings accounts and loan transactions

  • Speaks and writes fluently in both English and a widely used local language
